About the Lessons....

All ages ranging from preschool through adult are welcome at Sheree's Keys & Melodies. The piano lessons are ideal for beginner through upper intermediate ability levels. The curriculum of choice is Faber Piano Adventures, which has different levels for beginning to advanced pianists, and age-appropriate music books for preschool students (My First Piano Advetures), children (Piano Adventures), preteen to teen (Accelerated Piano Adventures), and adults (Adult Piano Adventures). Students with previous experience may also choose to continue with curriculum and materials that they have been using previously with other instructors.

Students focus on playing technique, theory, notation writing, sight-reading, artistry and performance skills. They are given a choice of repertoire, including Classical, Kids' Songs, Disney, Jazz & Blues, Rock 'n Roll, Popular, Hymns, Favorites, Studio Collections and Christmas music across the different levels. Supplemental materials, music books and song sheets may also be added.
Students will have regular opportunities to perform for their families and other students in recital settings. Students who choose to further their learning by playing in adjudicated contests and festivals will be given these options, as well.

Lessons are done once per week at regularly scheduled times. They may be done as individual lessons or divided into sibling, parent and child, or collaborative partner lessons with a friend.
